new friend

Hello,
meet my new friend...this is Paula from Sozopol.

I found her on a street stall on Apolonia Str. in the Old Town of Sozopol. I bought her for 4lv thinking she will bring much fun and help to my aunt with her colorful and elastic characteristics, but life had a different idea for her, as it turned out later on.

Shortly after i found her, me and mam - at the time enjoying a one-day escape to the sea, decided to have dinner in Burgas, while waiting to see an old friend from my childhoood who happened to have a gig with his band in town that evening.

Paula definelly was the star on the restaurant table, showing us all her entertainment skills while we were waiting for our food to arrive, attracting looks from the other tables and killing very successfully 3 hours time untill my friends showed up. At that moment my eyes and mind were blind for the truth about her but as always happens - God was working in ways invisible to me and i was about to see them in his timing.

My friends showed up at the pub late and one of the reasons was that really not many people were expected. They were happy to see us and even more pleased to see my mam, a 79 year old woman descending into the dark basement of the pub. She was interested to see the little boy she knew many years ago now - a man, a father and a musician. We chatted as usual about things in general until the band started their gig with a little nudge from the owner. And so it goes...

She was the bright orange pink glowing star hopping from showder to showder and from table to table, gracing this dark place with her exuberant energy and positivity, reflecting every vibe and tune coming from the stage. She was coming to birth in the bosom of this famost Burgas life music bar called Ten Fingers, embraced by the music of The Baron Chamelion, beaming her true essence in my very eyes and i was still blind.

We didn't stay until the end of the gig. I had 200 km ahead of me and it was the 22 nd hour of our one-day journey to the beach and back, so we used a short break to say our goodbyes and left in order to get our rest at home.
Of course, I didn't make it home! I had to stop and put my eyes to rest around the 130th kilometer on the highway. There was no way to continue after i crossed the sholder line 3 times and the markings on the road started to seem vertical.

Better late then never, wise people say and they are always right!

I think i will finish my post here, where i fell asleep. It feels natural and complete.

A new day follows and a new adventure with Paula ahead. Ta daaa!
